A din rail mounted temperature sensing relay supplied complete with a panel mounted temperature sensor. The unit is designed to facilitate compliance with The Lift Directive regulations EN81-1 Traction Lifts and EN81-2 Hydraulic Lifts. These regulations require that the lift room temperature is monitored between +5oC to +40oC and an alarm be triggered if the temperature rises or falls outside these limits.
A permanent auxiliary supply is required on to terminals A1 and A2. The 22.5mm panel mounted sensor needs to be connected to terminals P1 and P2. When the room temperature is between the two fixed set points, the output contact will be made between terminals 11 and 14 after a fixed time delay of 10 seconds. On deviation from these fixed set points, the output contact will open. Also the contact will open on loss of the auxiliary supply, thus making the unit fail safe. A green LED indicates that the auxiliary supply is present, a red LED indicates that the output contact is closed and thus the temperature is within specification.
