These units are designed to protect all DC “floating” analogue signal lines both voltage and mA, including TTL levels and PT100 signals. The maximum potential of any signal line can be 30VDC, signal lines are wired in series, maximum current 1 Amp. Available as either single channel or double channel, in the case of a double channel each channel is isolated from each other. Protection is via Gas Discharge Tube technology and high speed silicon avalanche diodes. The plug in module facilitates the replacement of a failed GDT without the need to disconnect the system wiring and as it is in parallel across the system, failure or removal of the module does not interrupt the analogue signal lines.
